Listening to the guitarist Juli Rexton’s debut solo album “Lost Old Tapes” is like unraveling an archive hidden in some past distance glory. It brings back a surge of the lost glories of the Blues and rock bands from the ‘60s and ‘70s. The songs don’t have lyrics for listeners to follow and carries a soft and subtle tone that feels relaxing.
The song is already out. You can listen to the album on Spotify:
What does “Lost Old Tapes” have in store for it’s listeners?
Here’s what the guitarist has to say, “I recently released my first solo album “Lost Old Tapes”, which has a lot of blues, rock, and also acoustic and folk rock music. In this instrumental album, I tell personal stories with my guitar, and things I’ve lived during high school and in recent years.”
The solo album features a total of six tracks and every track is not just soothing to the ear but also unravels a different element each time. There are elements like mystery, nature, country folk, and playfulness. “I am inspired by the genuine sound of the Blues and rock bands from the ’60s and ’70s. I started playing when I was 13, and since then I’ve been learning a lot about my sound and music. My tone is known to be vibrant and colorful, with recognised vibratos and a personal tone.”
