Rock and Roll has been the epitome of rebellious expression and social distortion since the early days when jazz energy, blues soul, and western style gave birth to new musicians like Elvis Presley and Bill Haley’s Comets. And this genre of popular music continues to grow as new bands join the list and explore music in new thematic variations.
Saison Enfer is one such band that we are talking about here. A 70s-influenced band, Saison Enfer plays original hard rock music revolving around supernatural themes and big, catchy hooks.
About Saison Enfer
Named after a Rimbaud poem called ‘A Season in Hell’, this hard rock band is formed by members
- Daniel Leons-Marder (Vocals)
- John Evered (Guitar)
- Rami Cheblak (Drums)
- Hagley West (Bass)
The Band Members
Daniel, John and Hagley worked on a short-lived project and stumbled together again for Saison Enfer. Daniel is a seasoned live circuit musician with lots of session experience. Both Daniel and John are the creative engines behind Saison Enfer’s catchy and expressive sound.
Originally hailing from London, the band songs have a tinge of supernatural themes embedded in their songs presented in a (slightly) light-hearted way in their music.
A Short Glimpse into the themes behind their Debut Album
The band’s lyrics are slightly playful, and Daniel clearly likes to play with our
expectations, with Hex playing with power dynamics surrounding a young, vulnerable-looking girl who, much to her attacker’s surprise, is actually a witch, and with Beverly, which whilst at first may sound like a breakup song, actually explores the idea of a haunting.
Join the Band and Take Part on this Big Day of their Music Launch
If you are curious and eager to listen to their music, well then so is the band. The members are ready to launch their debut album “Three Seasons”, which they plan to launch across all big online platforms on the day of their first stage performance at the Water Rats in London, a legendary venue on Tuesday, 9 April 2019, which will eventually be followed by an LP.
