Moskvit’s song “Counting Teeth” has the rough edge mingled with melodic sweetness of the country side. It is set against the backdrop of a classic highstake backroom poker that ends up in a violent brawl. The beginning of the song prepares you for it as the playful heavy strumming of the guitar continues and the singer rolls in with the
“I knocked em out
I got them good
Here comes my ittybitty bag of goods
oh yeah
A deck of cards,
Whiskey breeze
This motherfucker keeps on grinding his teeth
and says
I’m Just hoping for a better day,
To bring me joy
Then he blows it all away
His money is gone he ain’t fine with that
But if the green is gone,
You won’t get a hand to play”
This an Icelandic Rock Band hailing characterized mainly by classy clothes and Western Rock. Would remind you to some extent of the Nickelback’s style. However, the opinion can vary from person to person. The song’s lyrics fits the story of the set well and so has the tone of the music apt with the environment. It would be too fast to enforce one’s opinion on the band by just listening to this single and it is advisable to wait for the band to release their album, which is expected to be released by the mid of 2021. Their debut single is promising and keeps up to one’s expectations, especially at a time when competition is high among musicians from all around.
“Counting Teeth” is a production by Dynur Recording Studio and has been mastered by Neil Pickles (Reveal Sound). The band is now working on their upcoming album that will feature six songs.
