Energetic And Sassy Ella K Sol To Release Debut Ep “Hello My Name Is”

Her musical debut EP shines with her smooth voice and authenticity as she sings the story of her songs that are laden with strong messages.

With a wide growing popularity among a pop listener base, the 17-year-old Nashville native made her solo debut with the single and video for The Great Mistake, release in December 2020, followed by a song and video release of “Time Capsule Picture”, out in January 2021. And once more, she is ready with her debut EP “Hello My Name Is” out in February 2021.

The Great Mistake

Ella tells a story of when heartache turns to freedom and the realization that sometimes the end of a relationship can be the greatest gift of all. “This song reminded me of all the teen movies where the girl falls for the bad boy and comes out bigger, better, and stronger,” says Ella.

Time Capture Picture

While a lone repeated piano note introduces the emotionally charged “Time Capsule Picture.” “This song is about someone who was a very significant part of your life, but as time keeps on, they become a blurry image of what once was” – Ella explains.

The song notably taps the socio-cultural zeitgeist by taking on the great gender divide, straightforwardly confronting the seemingly unceasing inability of men to discern how women wish to be treated. Without necessarily trying to scream “feminism!”, the song has “empowerment” anthem written all over it. “No one should ever base their self-worth off of someone else’s opinion because you’re the only one you’re going home to at the end of the day. You have to be able to look yourself in the mirror and be happy with that person,” says Ella.

Hard To Be Good

The edgy funk pulse of “Hard to be Good” is a particularly gritty track, on which she addresses the human inclination towards unfair judgment of others, and the difficulty of staying on an ethical course in life.

About the Artist

Armed with an upbringing filled with musical diversity, Ella had the self-possession and maturity to realize fast that she wanted to be a storyteller.

In her childhood days, Ella was significantly inspired by the jazz. She was heavily influenced by the musical ethos of the likes of Queen and The Beatles. Ella Fitzgerald was one of her biggest inspirations.

Ella K Sol may still be in high school, but this promising young artist has already spent most of her life honing her craft, and she is sure to win over the crowd with her youthful charm and edgy-pop infused work.

“I prefer to choose the noise inside my own head, which is why music, especially songs I write about life, resonate with me so much,” Ella shared.
