It is true, when news headlines talk about listening to Remus Tucker and his boys feels like hitting the road on a new adventure. After “Lonely Mile”, the band is already out with their new single “Come On”. What makes their music different to hear is the energy they bring to the hard guitar-driven rock, the emotion of the blues, and the intimacy of the country.
The Main man of the band – Remus Tucker – whose vocal style has often been compared to legends of rock music like Freddie Mercury, Geoff Tate, Robert Plant, Ronnie Van Zant. Born in the backwoods of Michigan and spending a lot of time in the south, Remus Tucker is a lover of the country, old time blues, and southern rock. All these together with his style is what comprises his music.
He is often referred to as the Mountain Man of Rock and Country and a man of fun. This is evident in his upcoming music “Come On”. Maybe this idea of fun is what he had intended to portray in “Come On”. This is just a hypothetical assumption going by his background, style, and persona. And you cannot help notice it. From the start of the music to the end of it, the idea of fun is star-studded everywhere. In a recent interview, Remus Tucker had himself admitted so when talking about his new single.
“I was attempting to create a feeling of what the music industry experience was like. Lonely Mile showing some of the suffering, and Come On showing some of the fun. The rest of the pieces for the album will complete the story and experience.”
And that’s what we too felt when listening to it. Truly speaking, even if you have zero idea about what rock music or blues mean, it does not matter, because Remus Tucker’s music is all about rock fun. Added to it, the music is more edged towards soft music, a start comparison for in my opinion hard music could best compliment the emotion of fun. It appears that Remus Tucker had a lot of reasons working in his head when working on this piece.
